I love American Apparel clothing. American Apparel’s aesthetic focuses on basic and simplistic modern clothing with a vast array of distinct colors. The company is ethical in it’s manufacturing practices and operates sweat-shop free factories here in the United States. They also supply organic clothing which assures that pesticides did not play a role in the creation of the clothing piece. Last summer before I went to Israel and India I decided to minimalize my fashion by simply wearing a diverse section of basic colored American Apparel tshirts. But this coming summer I’d like to diverse my collection of clothing beyond basic tshirts and include other garments while retaining an aesthetic which appreciates color coordination. I like light clothing and the cold weather of Pittsburgh makes it difficult to express such an aesthetic. I can’t walk around in light clothing like I could in Tel Aviv with מור. But summer is on the horizon and I’m sending off my application to University of Haifa this weekend…
